The Finishing Toolbox
The "X-box" was the first iteration of the new line of professional toolboxes, now branded DeWalt.
After extensive user research, this concept emerged. We identify four key needs critical to a professional construction worker. Organization, visibility, portability, and protection. This toolbox concept was designed to emphasize these four needs.
Mobile Jobsite Chest
Developed through direct field research with tradespeople, this concept reinforces the four pillars critical to the professional's workflow: Organization, Visibility, Portability, and Protection. With its oversized, heavy-duty wheels and integrated telescopic handle, this toolbox was engineered to provide effortless mobility for a complete tool kit while ensuring maximum durability and equipment security on the job site.
Folding Sawhorse STANLEY Black & decker
Form follows function. This project aimed to create a lightweight sawhorse to replace a very popular older version, as part of the company’s effort to reduce the carbon footprint of its products. The result was a lighter product with improved functionality, an open-ended design that allows each user to customize its use according to individual needs. This design owes its success to the combined efforts of collaborating designers and engineers.
